Pari-mutuel wagering party 4:00 – 6:00 PM Overlook Bar, bring cash!
Friday:
7:30 AM- Registration, grab and go breakfast prior to start.
8:30- 9-hole match
11:00- 9-hole match
1:00- Lunch Served in the Sunset Room
1:45- 4-hole horse race event flighted,
Saturday:
7:30 AM- Grab and go breakfast prior to start.
8:30- 9-hole match
11:00- 9-hole match
1:00- Lunch Served on practice green, skills competition.
Sunday:
7:30 AM- Grab and go breakfast prior to start.
8:30- 9-hole match
30 minute break for pari-mutuel betting on finals
Championship Shootout (4 hole elimination)
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Each Member-Guest team will be assigned to a flight of six (6) teams based on total team handicaps. Competition will be NET BETTER BALL, MATCH PLAY. This is a non-elimination type match play tournament. The flight winners plus two wild card team shall compete in the shoot-out to determine who wins. The holes used for the shoot-out Canada (#15, #16, #17, #18). There is a total of 10 points available for the 9-hole match. If you win a hole that is 1 point. If you halve a hole that is a ½ point. If you win the match you receive an extra point.
HORSE RACE FRIDAY
The Horse Race is a competition within your flight. The Horse Race is 4 holes alternate shot, each player must tee off twice. No handicaps are calculated this is stroke play.
The holes for this competition are on the Canada Course and they are “special”
Number 17 black tee to number one green.
Number 2 black tee to number 16 green.
Number 4 red tee to number 4 green.
Number 6 red tee to number 3 green.
SKILLS COMPETITION SATURDAY
This year’s Skills Competition has four events:
Make a Splash
Each contestant will be given three balls to Make a Splash by hitting a golf shot that either lands in the pool or bounces into the pool making a splash
Flop It
So you think you can Flop? Each contestant will be given three balls to hit a Flop Shot over the Flop Wall. The Wall will start at 5 feet and increase 1 foot with each round.
Rolling the Rock
This skills competition involves putting from 4 feet to 40 feet. Each contestant will be given 10 balls to putt from 4 feet. Each contestant will take the number of balls made to the next length, 7 feet. Each contestant will take the number of balls made at the 7-foot length and bring them to the 11-foot length. Every contestant to make the 11-footer will compete in the final 40-footer, closest to the hole wins.
Long Chip
This is a chip shot of 50 feet. A two foot circle is drawn around the hole and anyone inside the circle splits the pot.
We will have beer and food served outdoors during this event.
DAILY PAYOUTS: (based upon a field of 42 teams)
Day Money $3,150 will be split between the flights for 1st and 2nd, both of first two days.
Skills Competition Pot is $800 split between 4 events, all re-buys go into the pot.
Horse Race is a $1,050 Pot split between the seven flights one winner per flight.
Day Money on day three is $1,540 split between the flights for 1st and 2nd.
Flight winners will have a Pot of $1,960, we will pay 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Shoot Out Participants will have $2,100 in Cash and Prizes divided up and rounds of golf at local courses.
Total Pot size: $13,750
If you have not paid the $400 registration fee per team please do so with a check made out to ECMGA as soon as you can and bring into the golf shop.
